EDSUN is the not to be missed artist from Luxembourg, who creates alternative R&B with electronic, pop and hip-hop influences. His musical style is unique in the Luxembourg scene and has been steadily developing since the release of his first EP N.O. By incorporating contemporary dance into his performances, EDSUN aims to be intriguing and off limits. In December 2018, he won the Artist of the Year award at the debut of the Luxembourg Music Awards at the Rockhal, enabling him to perform a co-produced concert at the Rockhal Club on May 6th, 2022.

About the EDSUN Show:

“This is a show where I will be messing with haters aka suckers. I will be messing with ex’s aka Tony’s.
And I will be messing with insecure straight guys aka cuties 🙂
I’m putting my “#I_am_queer_black_royalty” attitude on and remodelling a broken heart into art.
This show is about turning tables and showing that scars are beauty marks.
Screw all the white noise and move on to the next.
No shame, No filters.
People like me are tired of being resilient, but we are resilient no matter what.
This voyage of love, sex, fear, joie de vivre and forgiveness will be relatable to anyone who has ever felt
different, judged or excluded for who they are.”

ROCKLAB x MINISTRY OF CULTURE: NEISTART PROGRAM RESIDENCY

This show is the result of a one-year artistic research, creation and development residency at Rocklab, with the support of the Ministry of Culture (as part of the NEISTART program).

In line with its mission to promote the diversity of the Luxembourg cultural music scene and enable local artists to develop their creative vision and professional career, the Centre de Musiques amplifiées – Rockhal and its Rocklab department have developed an extensive residency program. Supported by the Ministry of Culture, this program works as an accelerator to boost the artist’s creative work, by offering rehearsal and studio time, vocal coaching, stage and technical counselling, as well as financial support for the artist and his team.

The aim of the residency is to develop EDSUN’s new large-scale, modular and exportable show, to support the multidisciplinary approach of the artist (dance, music, video) and facilitate the synergies between key actors of the local music scene.
